FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 5

Hello everyone, replacement Zara checking in, hopefully I shall accomplish far more then the one who I've subbed in for.

Anyway, through a course of events, I currently don't have the time available to read through the first thread, and I also haven't read through the second thread yet, though I hope to do that at some point soon. As such, in order for me to participate in this game immediately, there's some information I'd like to be summarized. This information is what all the roles/actions claimed so far have been. As a simple question, so far I've noticed people posting lists of names with "X amount of these people are scum," what's that part about, or is it simply people saying which groups they think there are scum in?

Unfortunately I'm missing quite a bit of context about this game, and so what I can say for opinions on people is rather limited; The names people have also aren't helping very much. I'll try to catch up and contribute in that area quickly, but for now I have very little to say with regards to what I think of people. A large amount of current discussion seems to be revolving around the role madness nature of this game, and thus there isn't very much in term of opinion and player character that can be judged.

To those that are voting me, is your reasoning simply that it's a policy lynch long overdue, or is there alternative rationality for such a decision? If the former option, given the current state of the game where very little is known about the scum, and the only scum dead is traitor, what makes you believe that a policy lynch, which as far as I can tell would provide relatively little information, is the superior option to a lynch that could potentially provide not only associative tells, but could also clear up an action resolution conflict?

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 5

I have a night action, and I used said action night 3, so unless I'm missing something about the reporter role, it would make sense. I would prefer not to reveal said role atm, but if in light or learning what other people have claimed their actions to be a contradiction is revealed, I'll claim with the utmost haste. As for the behavior of the previous Zara, I am at a loss for what their motivation was, and can come up with no explanation rational explanation for it myself.

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 5

Oh, I forgot to mention, I have significant evidence to believe that the previous Zara simply wasn't paying much, if any, attention to this game, and so apathy is my best guess for their behavior.

Also, @Chanel, looking over the daykill, why did you decide to go with Tiffany when you have a first choice for receiving death that day? You say that it's because your first choice was at L-2, but wouldn't the better option to be kill the person who the most people wanted dead, and who you wanted dead the most, and then get a second lynch that day based on the information from Louis' flip, effectively giving the town to days in a row, rather then usurping the town majority vote to make a kill based on your personal preferance? If this has already been gone over, just link me to the post, I was curious about the daykill, and these questions arose while I was checking it out.

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 6 - Sun. Mar. 9 @ 2:00 EST

My apologies for not being around as much as I would like to everybody. Now, enough with the formalities, down to business.

First off, @Burberry, thank you very much for the summary, it was quite helpful in directing me towards effective research. The significant evidence for me predecessor's apathy towards the game is that our action on N1 was used on Miu Miu. And, just fyi, my action is not one which can be used on dead players. So make of that what you will.

Continuing on, still @Burberry, a number of questions.

First off, with your crumbing, you do realize that crumbing something at the end of day 5 and then claiming day 6 completely eliminates the point of crumbing, right? The entire point of crumbing is to do it early to give credence to your claim later on, because it means this is the claim you've been going with since the start, and so not something you could have just made up so suite the situation. Since you did it right before you actually claimed, there circumstantial evidence it lends to you claim is made void. So basically, given how crumbing works, why did you crumb when you did?

Secondly, with your day 4 starting post about the nightkill you supposedly made, how exactly did you remark help the town, and why make it? Your given reason of questioning why there was only a single kill seems lackluster in light of the post. In the post, you dismiss the options of the kill being the result of another faction or a vigilante, despite supposedly knowing that it was the work of a vigilante, and with the fact that Fendi was a traitor, simply pointing it out didn't help as the mafia making the kill wasn't an eliminated option. This seems highly counter-intuitive to me, and at best completely pointless.

Third point, on your kills, specifically the Night 4 and Night 6 ones, I would like a little more information. For Night 4, leading up towards that night your last couple of posts hadn't mentioned Fendi at all, and when you had been talking about him early on, though you were scum reading him you also said he wasn't a high priority. On the Night 6 kill, Alex's flip as town was available. In order for you to be correct about the Neighbors being mafia, it would have meant that a highly convoluted chain of events occurred. With that in mind, why choose to kill a neighbor, whose town claim was given credence by Alex's flip, over another scum read? If this was to Valentino results, please elaborate on which one specifically.

Fourth, on the issue of your kill against Prada failing, why are you assuming that Prada was protected? Based on the nature of you role, somebody could have attempted to kill Prada, which would have cancelled both killings, or your action could have been redirected to another target, as two other possibilities out of many. Did you receive anything from the mod after your action, or is your conclusion purely quesswork?

@Valentino, you have said that you claimed 2-shot sensor so that the mafia would think you were now helpless, and thus you could live longer, presumably getting more information as well. However, you eventually changed your claim to odd-night sensor. The timing being such that approaching an even night, your claim stood as 2-shot, while when approaching an odd night, your claim was odd-night. This does not make sense given the context of fake claiming to stay alive longer. Regardless of it you were a 2-shot or an odd-night sensor, when approaching night 4 you would have been unable to make an action. However, when approaching night 5, being 2-shot would mean you were still worthless while being odd-night would make you dangerous. And yet, when it didn't matter, you claimed 2-shot, and when being 2-shot was the better option for survival, your supposed goal, you claimed odd-night. What is a rational conclusion for this? The only logical conclusion I can reach is that, given the contradiction between your and Alex's claim, approaching the day 5 lynch, you being 2-shot meant you could be lynched  easily to figure out which player was correct. As 2-shot, you would be either an effective VT or a Scum, while Alex would be either a PR or a Scum, compared to if you were an odd-night, then it made the day 5 lynch between two strong PRs. Given these options, it makes it seem like you were more concerned with surviving the town then the mafia, which is contrary to your stated goal.

There is a bit more I would like to say, but right now I am pressed for time, and these to issues are of the utmost importance. Please answer my questions wisely, and answer all of them.

Good day gentlemen.

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 6 - Sun. Mar. 9 @ 2:00 EST

@Burberry, when I said "helped the town," I meant that generally fluff posts are discouraged, and every post should have some intended helpful effect, even if only a personal one; I didn't see that in your post, but the way you said it was as a response to your kill the night before made it seem, at least to me, like it should hold some importance as a post.

Also, why do you think Valentino is town again? And don't Valentino's results only prove that, assuming you're town, one of the neighbors is scum? I tried to look through your iso for information, but I don't have the time to dig through your TL;DRs atm.

Damn Gucci, that was pretty fucking badass, your sacrifice will be remembered.

This game is turning out to be quite interesting. Town having two oneshot daykillers would be very strange, a neighborhood with two mafia is downright outlandish, and a doctor, even a CPR one, who doesn't even who think about protecting his fellows is simply bad. Oh what a game this is.

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 6 - Sun. Mar. 9 @ 2:00 EST

I don't see any reason at all why Valentino would have been honest with their results when lying about them would be so effective for screwing with the town. It seems like making the counts one higher then the truth would be optimal play in most situations, unless there actually were a lot of scum on the wagon, in which case you'd want to list far less. If, for no apparent reason, Valentino actually was truthful, it wouldn't matter how many shots they had, as they knew all the scum short of the traitor and any third party roles, and hence would be able to say exactly who was scum on the wagon. However, this is purely speculation that the scum likely didn't follow anyway.

A mafia sensor would be literally worthless without any alternative roles. If there was a third party role, and it seems to me like having a sensor as the mafia's way to combat a serial killer (though maybe one who can't kill directly, a mayor bus driver say) would be a pretty ingenious setup. However, what I personally think the more likely option was is that the sensor was included as a way for the mafia to find out who the traitor was. As explained above, they knew who the scum are, so if they got one more scum on the wagon then there should be, they'd know that their traitor was also on the wagon.

@Burberry, chill, there's no need to worry about not getting lynched, since there's no chance at all you won't be. On the sensor issue, since you would have been able to talk with Val in the scum QT, mind telling me what the results they got were, in the event that it was for finding a third party role? It would be quite helpful in tracking down said third party role provided they exist. Proof that you've fake claimed coming later btw, I'll cast the vote then.

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 6 - Sun. Mar. 9 @ 2:00 EST

Okay, done waiting, I had hoped Burberry would say something, get us a little more information, plus I waited for a reason which I'll explained later on in this post, but I think it's time to prove why I said he fakeclaimed before.

In his post, Burberry claims 3-Shot CPR Doctor, and, due to his use of the words "Since I am now useless" and "(was)," a 3-Shot CPR Doctor with no shots left. The reason for having no shots being that N3, he successfully killed Fendi, N4, he unsuccessfully killed Prada, and N5, he successfully killed Vera. On Night 4, I roleblocked Burberry. But wait, since the kill failed, that would make sense, right?

Wrong. Here is were the contradiction comes in. In this game, if an action with a shot amount is roleblocked, then the action isn't used at all, and so a shot isn't consumed. This means that one shot would have been used N3, and another would have been used N5, but none would have been consumed night four. It could just be that Burberry didn't notice and hasn't had a chance to see that he has a shot left, except that in this game a player will also be told how many shots of an ability they have left after using a shot ability, thus preventing any confusion on Burberry's part.

This means that in order for Burberry to be telling the truth, on top of his action failing to kill the intended target while not being roleblocked, my action would have needed to fail to hit it's mark. Given simply that roles that would be needed in order for such an event to occur, it seems unlikely at best.

Of course, the whole reasoning behind my action claim being a counter-claim to Burberry relies upon the fact that he claimed 3-Shot. Could it be that Burberry was simply using the gambit that Valentino claimed they were using? I personally think that this option is highly unlikely due to my waiting with no response from Burberry. If they were actually a Town CPR Doctor, then they would, upon being called out for lying in their claim, know immediately the only thing somebody could legitimately be able to call them out for lying about, and would likely remedy their statement immediately not only for more credibility, but also to possibly prevent another PR from being outed. As scum who made it all up however, they would have no idea what the counter-claim against them would be about, and so would most likely wait to hear the accusation before responding in any way.

So yeah, that's my proof that they lied in their claim, any questions, just ask, I accidentally deleted this post after typing it once before, and so this write-up I may have missed some things. Also, as a closing note, I am NOT the Town Roleblocker, and will not divulge my full role name or abilities at this point.

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 6 - Sun. Mar. 9 @ 2:00 EST

@Bulgari, well, Burberry had this whole post where they claimed their role and who they targeted on what nights, so that's where I got who they "went on" each night. I personally think they're lying scum, hence making the post, and didn't go on any of those people as a CPR Doctor, meaning that there's no need to reconcile anything, one mafia, one kill per night, 1+1=2, not that hard to figure out.

FASHIONABLE NOC ANON MAFIA - Day 6 - Sun. Mar. 9 @ 2:00 EST

I'm pretty sure we're playing with the standard forum mafia role block rules, in which case a role block only stops the mafia kill if the mafia member selected to make the kill is the same one who is distracted. So, that is to say, I think the night four kill was made by a mafia member other then Burberry. I presumably stopped some action he made that night, hence his inclusion of his night four action failing, but he overlooked the mechanics of how shot type roles work in this game while trying to make his claim harder to disprove.
